Brick Breaker!
Refresh the Page to Restart. Instructions Below.
Brick Breaker is an arcade game developed by the Game & App Makers Club, a student-led organization at Piedmont Hills High School. The project was built collaboratively by a team of student developers, including members who began with no programming experience and were trained through the club’s mentorship.
The game recreates the classic brick-breaking mechanic, where players control a paddle to bounce a ball and eliminate bricks, with increasing difficulty as the game progresses.
This project demonstrates the club’s development model, where members contribute through planning, implementation, and testing to produce a complete, functional game. It also highlights the ability of beginner programmers to progress from foundational concepts to building fully playable applications.
The game was developed using Scratch and deployed using TurboWarp for browser compatibility and performance. Team: Game & App Makers Club (25+ student contributors)

1. Smooth paddle controls and collision-based physics
2. Progressive challenge with enhanced ball mechanics
3. Use of clones to generate multiple, distinct bricks
